Lots of fresh herbs and a fine twist of tobacco and smoke to the red plums and redcurrants. Tannins are chalky and present, which creates a linear but tight mouthfeel. Deliciously fine-grained. Drink or hold.

The 2021 Cabernet Franc Signature hails from a 1907 vineyard planted in La Consulta, Uco Valley and was 80% aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. A rich purple in the glass. The nose offers enticing ash, mint, herbs and camphor over a bed of dark fruit. It's plush and juicy on the palate, with a rich, expansive mouthfeel and lingering flavors of spice and fruit. Flirtatious initially, the 2021 invites further exploration and discovery.
