Limited edition cask strength single malt Scotch whisky distilled at Lochlea in South Ayrshire (Lowland). The second release from Lochlea’s Cask Strength series showcases something entirely new from Lochlea, as Production Director John Campbell has selected a vinous combination of shaved, toasted, and re-charred (STR) red wine, Oloroso sherry, and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks that drink particularly well at higher strength, amplifying Lochlea’s signature fruit, nut, and cereal flavors. Produced from 100% malted barley grown on the Lochlea farm. Twice distilled in bespoke Forsyths copper pot stills. Apples, peach syrup, and marmalade precede a palate of wild lavender, rose petals, and black pepper with a long finish bursting with Lochlea’s signature fruity malt. No added coloring, Non-chill filtered, 60% ABV.
