GlenAllachie Description
Single cask Speyside single malt Scotch from The GlenAllachie in Aberlour. Distilled from 100% malted barley on copper pot stills. Aged a minimum 12 years; distilled in May 2010 and bottled in October 2022. Matured exclusively in an ex-Oloroso sherry puncheon (cask #5138). Dried red berries, honeycomb, muscovado sugar, and stewed plums on the nose give way to waves of heather honey on the palate, accompanied by mocha, ginger, and Black Forest gáteau. US-exclusive release of 712 bottles. No added coloring. Non-chill filtered; bottled at a cask strength of 56.6% ABV
This single malt was aged for over 24 months in an ex-Oloroso puncheon before being hand-picked by GlenAllachie Master Distiller, Billy Walker, as an exceptional cask and then selected again by the ImpEx Beverages Team for a US-exclusive bottling. That’s a lot of seasoned palates telling you this single malt is not to be missed!
