Primarily Cabernet Sauvignon which ensures a beautiful structure, and a bit of Merlot that provides morello cherry nuances. The wine has an elegant freshness, with the tannins softened by 14 months of aging in oak barrels. This wine has everything of a “Grand” of the Médoc because it’s produced by a Saint-Estèphe star, Château Cos d’Estournel! Coming from a beautiful terroir of deep gravel near the Gironde estuary, Médoc de Cos is vinified by the same team and in the same cellar as the famous Cru Classé, a spectacular building redesigned in 2008 by the architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte. This is the opportunity to afford the fruit of the best Médoc know-how at a reasonable price.
